Do you remember my article about galaxy printed wish list? If you like stars and star prints, I encourage you to check it out. The post, "Come with me to gaze at the stars" shows you a lovely selection of these items.

Today's post will be about a haul, that I recently received from Dresslily and that contains an item from the aforementioned wish list. But first of all, I'd like to mention the shipping time, which was just unbelievable. The package came from China to Europe in less than a week, which is an absolute thumbs up.

However, this cute rug is small, about 40x120cm, - which is exactly stated on the article's homepage -, it is perfect next to the bed or sofa. Its surface is nice soft, the underside is antiskid and the pattern looks amazing. I am already thinking about ordering this floor mat in a different style.

This projection lamp is just dreamy, and I am already in love with it. When the cover is on, it is a nice lamp and without it, it becomes a starry projector. You can select the colours and also choose a rotation mode. It not only works with battery, you can also connect it to your laptop with an USB cable. My room was covered with stars, I just love it and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

It wasn't planned but I ended up with a white bundle of clothes. This shirt is different than the ones, I have seen before. It has two layers and the bottom one is lace like the sleeves.

The midi skirt has a nice floral motive, but I still have to figure out, how to wear it to look the best.

Last but not least, a romper that has a very unique cut and the sleeves are amazing.

All items were true to size and the only drawback that the romper is see through at the bottom, so seems to be best on the beach.

I remember how fun it was to receive a handwritten letter or postcard when I was a kid. Having penpals, staying in touch via letter with friends after moving. And today, when you get mail, you either ordered something online, got a bill, or something from the government, maybe bank.

We write emails, text or chat someone, although handwritten letters are much more personal. They make you feel special and create a positive feeling overall, and I think these apply not just to the recipient,  but also to the writer. 

I remember sending a postcard to my sister years ago, just like that. She later texted me that as she passed the mailbox, she had a feeling, turned around and opened it. She had a bad day but my postcard really made her smile.

Well, how long has it been since you wrote a letter to someone with pen and paper? - I have to admit that lately I am pretty bad at it. But I like leaving small messages on sticky notes if that matters.

The world tends to switch from writing to typing and I know that postal costs have also increased, posts are sometimes lost, and it is far more comfortable to type in something and just press the "Send" button. But come on, handwriting is priceless.

If you have not written any letter or handwritten messages lately, this week is perfect to catch up as it is "Thinking of You Week" that should inspire people to create a wave of love, caring and happiness by sending greeting cards.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your pen and start writing.  ;)

Ich erinnere mich, wie lustig es war, als Kind einen handgeschriebenen Brief oder eine Postkarte zu erhalten. Brieffreunde haben, nach dem Umzug per Brief mit Freunden in Kontakt bleiben. Und heute, wenn man Post bekommt, hat man entweder etwas online bestellt, eine Rechnung oder etwas von der Regierung, vielleicht von der Bank bekommen. 

Wir schreiben E-Mails, schicken SMSs oder chatten, obwohl handgeschriebene Briefe viel persönlicher sind. Sie geben einem das Gefühl, etwas Besonderes zu sein und schaffen insgesamt ein positives Gefühl, und ich denke, das gilt nicht nur für den Empfänger, sondern auch für den Schreiber. 

Ich erinnere mich, dass ich vor Jahren eine Postkarte an meine Schwester schickte, einfach so. Sie schrieb mir später, dass sie, als sie am Briefkasten vorbeiging, ein Gefühl hatte, drehte sich um und öffnete es. Sie hatte einen schlechten Tag, aber meine Postkarte hat sie wirklich zum Lächeln gebracht. 

Wie lange ist es her, seit du jemandem mit Stift und Papier einen Brief geschrieben hast? - Ich muss zugeben, dass ich in letzter Zeit ziemlich schlecht darin bin. Ich mag es aber, kleine Nachrichten auf Sticky Notes zu schreiben, wenn das zählt.

Die Welt tendiert dazu, vom Schreiben zum Tippen zu wechseln, und ich weiß, dass die Postkosten auch gestiegen sind, Posts sind manchmal verloren, und es ist viel bequemer, etwas eintippen und einfach den "Senden"-Knopf zu drücken. Aber komm schon, Handschrift ist unbezahlbar.

Wenn du in letzter Zeit keine Briefe oder handgeschriebenen Nachrichten geschrieben hast, ist diese Woche perfekt, um es aufzuholen, denn es ist "An dich denken Woche", die Leute dazu bringen sollte, eine Welle von Liebe, Fürsorge und Glück durch das Senden von Grußkarten zu erzeugen.

Also, worauf wartest du noch? Greif deinen Kuli und fang an zu schreiben.  ;)

Living in a shared flat I can tell you that I can not wait to move into my own apartment. With no unwanted surprise guests - especially if you thought you would finally have some quiet hours alone -, decorating all the rooms to my own taste, just as I would like. If only money would not matter here..

In today's post, it's all about the lighting. I do not know if it's just me, but for me the right lighting plays a very important role. If it's not right, too light, too dark, or it may vibrate, it can easily cause a headache or make your eyes tired soon. The floor lamps are a good alternative in my opinion, but if you want to have a lamp as a decoration, which is also practical, fan lights are for example for you. Below I collected some of my favorite pieces.
Pendant lights are the classic, I think. And on the other hand a ceiling fan is for those who want to have things multifunctional. It's a lighting, a decoration and of course a fan. Most of them are very quiet and with their pleasant breeze they can be a really helpful partner in the hot summer days.

You can choose a design with a modern appeal or with a touch of vintage. The right lighting brings class, style, glamour, retro feel or whatever you prefer in your room, adding the finishing touch to your space.

August ist the month of star-gazing. The weather is good, mostly it is not so cloudy, so you can have a great view. (If not, you still have the opportunity to watch starry patterns online, for example on Dresslily.)
I don't know if it is just me, but I just like to stand in front of my open window in the evening, putting my elbows on the windowsill and looking at the stars, finding the Big Dipper, and when I am not in the big city, even the Little Dipper. They look the same everywhere and that’s why they can make you feel a little safer, wherever you are, even miles away from your home.
I love the stars, you could even guess it from my blog design, and that’ what inspired today's wish list. All items are from Dresslily and I really hope you like them.

August ist der Monat der Sternenguckerei. Das Wetter ist gut, meistens ist es nicht so bewölkt, so dass man eine tolle Aussicht haben kann. Ich weiß nicht, ob es nur ich ist, aber ich mag es einfach, vor meinem offenen Fenster am Abend zu stehen, die Ellbogen auf die Fensterbank zu legen und auf die Sterne zu schauen, den Großen Bär zu finden, und wenn ich nicht in der großen Stadt bin, sogar den Kleinen Bär. Sie sehen überall gleich aus und genau deshalb können sie dich ein wenig sicherer fühlen lassen, wo auch immer du bist, selbst Meilen von deiner Zuhause entfernt.
Ich liebe die Sterne, man könnte es sogar von meinem Blog-Design erraten, und genau das hat die heutige Wunschliste inspiriert. Alle Artikel sind von Dresslily und ich hoffe, dass du sie magst.

World Photo Day

We live in a world, where millions of pictures are uploaded every minute. – Photographs taken either with a simple or professional camera, or very often with a smartphone these days. But no matter what gear you have, remember that taking a great photo is not about how expensive your camera is and how much time you spent later editing the photo. The idea for this day comes from Korske Ara, a young photographer from Australia and it was first launched in 2010. The date wasn’t chosen as it happened. August 19 is the date in 1839 when the French government purchased the patent for the Daguerreotype, the first practical photographic process developed by Joseph Nicèphore Nièpce and Louis Daguerre. Photography has come a long way since then and the photos have been getting better over the years. For the first few decades photography was only for professionals and very wealthy, but then George Eastman founded a company called Kodak in 1888 and photography became available to more and more people.

 

How to celebrate World Photography Day? 

If you fancy to go out, go for a walk, visit a park or some sights and take some photos. Try a new perspective, a new theme or some layers, a new objective, just be creative. Whether digitally or on film, through photography you can capture a moment forever.
