✯ Hello Shiny Stars! ✯

and those words can be in any of the 6.500 languages on planet earth."

We live in a world, where millions of
pictures are uploaded every minute. – Photographs taken either with a simple or
professional camera, or very often with a smartphone these days. But no matter
what gear you have, remember that taking a great photo is not about how
expensive your camera is and how much time you spent later editing the photo. It is about noticing such moments where most would pass by, capturing something
that most of us are „too busy” to notice, or to find an angle that is out of
the ordinary. You can take stunning photos, even with a very simple camera, if
you leave your heart, your soul in the photographs.
Today is a very special day for
everyone who somehow feels connected to photography. August 19 is World Photo –
aslo mentioned as World Photography – Day. The idea for this day comes from
Korske Ara, a young photographer from Australia and it was first launched in
2010. The date wasn’t chosen as it happened. August 19 is the date in 1839 when
the French government purchased the patent for the Daguerreotype, the first
practical photographic process developed by Joseph Nicèphore Nièpce and Louis
Daguerre. Photography has come a long way since then and the photos have been
getting better over the years. For the first few decades photography was only
for professionals and very wealthy, but then George Eastman founded a company
called Kodak in 1888 and photography became available to more and more people.
How to celebrate World Photography
Day?
If you fancy to go out, go for a walk, visit a park or some sights and take
some photos. Try a new perspective, a new theme or some layers, a new objective,
just be creative. Whether digitally or on film, through photography you can
capture a moment forever. However, if you prefer to stay indoors today, and do
not feel like taking pictures, browse through your old photos, pick some of
your best pictures and create a collage or organise your photos. There are many
combinations and it is up to you to choose the ones that you find most
interesting. And why not print out some of your best pieces? From the prints,
you can create a lovely wall art in your room or put them in a photo album but
they also make beautiful presents.
I don’t know if you have heard of
Printiki before. Based in the Netherlands, they offer you the opportunity to
create your photos on paper or magnet. On their website, you have the opportunity
to choose from several designs, you can even add frames and layouts, but also
texts. And now if you use the voucher below, you will even get free shipping on
your next order.
Code: 98MREAA9
Just click on the image to land on their website, create your prints and enter this code in the discount box
at your checkout to receive free economy shipping. Please note that
this code is only valid for first time customers.
As Miroslav Tichý once said, "Photography is painting with light.", you simply press a button and you have preserved a memory that you can even hold in your hand. Tell me differently, but it is magical.
Do you remember the first time you held a camera? Do you prefer to take photographs digitally, analogously or with the camera of your phone? Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
For photographic ideas you can also check out Printiki's Instagram and in terms of photography you will find here a thematic wish list about cameras:
Have fun creating your photos
and enjoy your prints. :)
Have a wonderful day! :)
