Letter bead bracelets: A fun and meaningful craft for all ages

✯ Hello Shiny Stars! ✯

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

"It all started with one little bead."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Making letter bead bracelets is fun for all ages. They are easy and quick to make and a perfect craft activity for both children and adults.

You can completely personalize these bracelets and you can freely choose the size, the colors and of course the word you add.
You can choose positive and motivational sayings, but also your name, the name of your partner, your children or other loved ones, your horoscope, not to mention a date or a monogram, perhaps a place you would like to remember.

To make the bracelet, all you need is a handful of colored beads of your choice, some letter beads, elastic string and, of course, a pair of scissors. Optional are glue and a piece of tape.

Choose any material you want, there are different types, sizes, colors, pick what you like the most and what best expresses you. There is no right or wrong here, the design is entirely up to you.

๐Ÿ’› The first step is to wrap the elastic string around your wrist to find the right size. Cut a piece of string that is about twice the size of your wrist so that you have enough room to tie the knot later.

๐Ÿ’› Next, thread on the beads. Make sure that the beads do not fall down on the opposite side when threading them on. If you are a beginner, you can tape the beginning to your desk with a small piece of tape. When threading on the letter beads, make sure that the letters are facing in the right direction.

The letters should be in the center of your bracelet. I always start with one side and if it's not right, correct it in the end by taking off or adding more beads at the beginning, but some people start with the word and then add the beads evenly on both sides. Choose what works easier for you.

There's no need to worry about not finding the symmetry on your first try. You can always adjust it accordingly by adding or removing beads once you've checked it. Just make sure you end up with the same number of decorative beads on both sides of the letter beads so that the pattern is symmetrical on your wrist.

๐Ÿ’› Once all the beads have been added, it's time to bring the two ends of the string together and tie them into a knot. Some people also secure the knot with a bit of glue, but I personally don't do this.

๐Ÿ’› Finally, cut off the excess string at the end of the knot with scissors leaving you as close to the knot as possible.

That is all. Beaded bracelets are a great addition to any jewelry wardrobe. They are colorful and personalizable. You can even stack them or combine them with other types of bracelets, but they even make a great gift.

๐Ÿ Š Do you have a letter bracelet or are you planning to make one? Which word have you chosen for it?

Get started and have fun making your own beautiful beaded bracelet! ๐Ÿ˜Š

With best wishes,
๐Ÿ…”

"Jewellery has the power to be this one little thing that can make you feel unique."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

It is less than one month until Christmas so it's time to start to think about the presents. I know, some of you have already finished the shopping but I haven't started it yet and I'm pretty sure, I'm not the only one.
To get some inspiration I would like to share a jewellery wishlist with you. All items are from Hugh Rice. Let's have a look at it.  :)

1. Swarovski Amorous Versatile Pendant Necklace: it has two heart shaped pendants. With a mix of silver colour and rose gold it is the perfect present to someone who means a lot to you. Share the love.  :)
2. Swarovski Treasure Star Nano Pendant Necklace: two beautiful necklaces with two different star shaped pendants. Shine like a star with it and wear a piece of the universe close to your heart.  :)
3. Emporio Armani Silver & Zirconia Triple Circle Necklace: it reminds me of a beautiful necklace that I got from my father. The necklace is more than 1200 miles away from me at the moment, but I still like it.  :)
4. Mikimoto Ladies White Gold And Cluster Pearl Chain Bracelet: it looks very simple and stylish with the pearls and I was surprised as I saw its prize but dream big.  :)
5. Nomination Blue Paris Watch: I love this watch or more precisely these watches. It's not only because its blue colour, but also the interchangeable watchbands: a black leather strap and a stainless steel links strap. One present, two different looks. You can't dislike it.  ;)

What do you think about the items I chose? Which is your favourite?
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.  :)

 Lots of love,
E

P&P style made... a Johnny Depp inspired bracelet

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

It has been a while since my last DIY-post although I had some projects during the last months too.
Today I will share a bracelet with you - that I made in the summer, but somehow always forgot to post it.

I saw a photo of Johnny Depp and I became aware of his bracelet. It was a beaded one so I thougt, I will make it myself, which I did and I still love it.

All you need is beads and a rubber band.
I used simple beads and star beads but the "original" had some skull beads as well.
There are lot of colors, lot of variations so you can make many different bracelets with this simple method. Just let your imagination run wild.  :)

Make your own bracelet and as always, I would love to see your work, so send me your photo at pandpmode@gmail.com.  :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of love,
E

P&P style made... some Bracelets with Letter Beads

Alphabet-fun!

We made lately some bracelets with letter beads.
They are super easy to make and look really fabulous.
You can make them with ribbon, chain and  of course you can use other materials at will.
By ribbon make simply a knot to fix the finished bracelet on your wrist and by chain use a safety pin as we here: http://p-and-p-style.blogspot.com/2013/06/p-style-made-safety-pin-bracelet.html

---

ABC-Spass!

P&P style made... a Safety Pin Bracelet

Hi all!

It's been awhile since our last DIY therefore it's time to create something new.

Well, I found a little chain in my "it'll be good for something"-box.
It was too short for a bracelet, but with a safety pin it's absolute perfect.

Here's the tutorial for the bracelet that you can easily make with stuff lying around your home.

Hallo an euch alle!
