I recently saw a post about a blog birthday that immediately rang a bell, and I realised that my blog is also celebrating its anniversary in a few days. That day has now come, and today marks exactly 13 years since I started writing this blog. It's incredible to even write that down. It has already reached the age of a teenager. 😃

I still remember the excitement and how I started writing first just for myself, then also for my dear Readers.

This blog has seen so much. I've written posts from different locations, in different languages, I've grown both in my personal life and in my career during this time, and it's also changed who was by my side while working on them. There was a time for DIYs, for sharing my favorite celebrity outfits, but also for participating in blogger events and writing about deeper topics. The blog also received some blogger awards back when these were in vogue.

The world has changed, too. Years ago, blogs were so popular that we had a huge community. Then it slowly shifted to other platforms, but there are some bloggers who stayed and still enjoy the beauty of this platform. Now we've even entered a chapter in which many published texts are written by non-humans, but I remain true to my blog and my values. There is, namely, one thing that has not changed in me during this time: my love of writing and being creative. Even though I don't have as much time for this blog as I did years ago, it will always remain my favorite corner of the internet.

Here's to the past 13 years and I hope for many more. 🥂 Happy birthday to P&P style. 🎂

Once upon a time, there was a blog that came to life on this very day. 9 years have passed and here we are to celebrate these incredible years with a little post.

I don't have much time to blog anymore besides work, but I always enjoy working on posts and also visiting your blogs as much as my time allows. 

Here's to these incredible 9 years and many more to come. Happy blogiversary to my little corner of the online world and thank you to everyone who supports me on this journey, your comments are always much appreciated.  😊

I know we say it every year, but time really flies and it's hard to believe that I started writing this blog exactly 8 years ago on this day. A lot has happened since then, but I still enjoy the process and I still enjoy writing my blog - even if my working life sometimes doesn't allow me to spend that much time on it.

To celebrate these 8 years, I've put together 8 of my favourite blog posts here, which somehow are closest to my heart.

I thank you for your continued support. I appreciate each of your comments, and your kind messages mean a lot to me.

Ich weiß, wir sagen es jedes Jahr, aber die Zeit vergeht wirklich wie im Fluge, und es ist kaum zu glauben, dass ich an diesem Tag vor genau 8 Jahren mit dem Schreiben dieses Blogs begonnen habe. Seitdem ist viel passiert, aber ich genieße den Prozess immer noch und ich beschäftige mich weiterhin gerne mit meinem Blog - auch wenn mein Arbeitsleben manchmal nicht so viel Zeit dafür zulässt.

Um diese 8 Jahre zu feiern, habe ich hier 8 meiner Lieblingsblogbeiträge zusammengestellt, die mir irgendwie am meisten am Herzen liegen.

I celebrated my blog-anniversary last year with a special post that has a message that is still important to me. You can simply download your own checklist and start your challenge right away. Have fun, be happy, spread kindness.  :)

This blog post with the recipe always reminds me of the time when we celebrated Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day, with my sister a few years ago.  :)

4. Almost Famous London

This article is also special for me, because it is about the first fashion event I have ever attended. We had a great time there.  :)

Because she thanked me on Twitter for being chosen as the Look of the Week.  :)

6. A dreamy haul

I am still in love with the small galaxy printed rug and also with the projection lamp, which is so dreamlike.  :)

Kindness challenge for a happier You and a happier World – 40 acts of kindness & happiness

Being kind does not cost you anything and takes no time, but it can mean a lot to someone on the receiving end.

Today, my blog turned 7 years old and to celebrate it, there is a special post today.

It is pretty easy to lose your positivity, your brightness in this fast-moving world. Everything and everyone is online, we receive so many information that we hardly know how to deal with all of them. We know almost "everything", including information, we didn't want to know about. We see crimes and violence happening not only in our own country, but also on the other side of the world. We see false realities and we experience stress, making it harder to stay focused and look to the bright side of life. Everyone struggles from time to time and needs some motivation and inspiration every now and then. But I do believe that if you make a small difference yourself, then we can make a big difference together. This inspired me to create this challenge of kindness & happiness. 

 

Some of the actions in the list can be performed anywhere and anytime, while others either require scheduling or depend on a situation. There are a few that cost you a bit of money, but I always added an alternative that cost you less or nothing at all but still makes the world a better place.

You don't need to do anything big, it is about small actions and gestures that make you feel better too. You probably already do little acts of kindness on a regular basis, but you know, that kindness never becomes enough and you never know, how much it could mean to somebody, you could make someone's entire day.
Since it is easy to forget about oneself when we think about kindness, some of the points on the list are kind acts for your own happiness.

I challenge you to perform as many kind deeds as you can using the checklist below. Cross of each one as you do them and after you've made your list, post a picture with the #HappierYouHappierWorld hashtag on Twitter.
There is no time frame, no deadlines, you can do it at your own pace, just have fun, be happy and spread kindness. ♡

This was the very first time that I didn’t publish a blog post (only a tweet) to celebrate the next big milestone in my blog’s life. That’s because my days have been busy for some time and I need to admit that I almost forgot about the day when P&P stlye turned 5 years old.

During this time many things have changed. At the beginning (or rather during the first 2 years) I was writing only for myself, I had some free time and I probably wanted to try out something new, I don’t really remember how it all began. Then later it became more a „part-time job” beside my full-time job. But there are jobs where you can combine more and there are the ones which make it quite difficult to juggle working with blogging like my current job does. I rarely find the time and motivation that I would like to, but hopefully it will change with my next job.

 I don’t know who has the remote control but that person should really stop pressing the fast-forward (FF) key. Time flies and all I can ask is „How did that happen again?”.

I remember it as it was a few months ago that I wrote my post about the blog’s 3rd birthday and today I need to collect my thoughts to write the next one..

P&P style turned 4.

 

To celebrate it, I changed a few things here. New layout, new background, new header, a whole new design. I hope you like it as much as I do.

I also have some new projects in mind, so just keep an eye on the blog.

Happy 3rd Blog-Birthday

Today is a special day in the blog’s and also in my life.  It was exactly 3 years ago that I decided to bring P&P style into being. 3 years… Unbelievable, isn’t it?

As I was starting to blog, to be honest, I didn’t think about the future. I was writing just for me, because I was enjoying it. I didn’t had any followers, but now it is not the same anymore. I am writing not only for me, but for you too and I am enjoying every single moment of it. I am happy to read your comments and I do really appreciate them.  Thank you for being my Reader, my Shiny Star in this online world. Thank you to you all.

Since I am living in London, the blog has gained many other experiences, many memories for me. I have attended fashion, blogger and store events, I have met amazing people, I have talked with talented and highly motivated  designers and I could share this amazing memories with my sister, which makes me feel grateful too.

If you are a regular Reader of my blog, you must be familiar with the phrase „Shiny Stars”. This is how I call my lovely Readers. And this is the reason why I bought a necklace with a star pendant for me for this special occasion (see on the picture). Every time I am looking at the medal, P&P style comes to my mind.

It was not projected, but I received another birthday-present too. My Dresslink-packet arrived exactly today, like a present to the blog, to me. More about the items will be online soon, so stay tuned.  ;)

Thank you for your support in the last 3 years, I hope you will be with me in the future as well and new Readers, Shiny Stars are more than welcome.

2nd Birthday - 4th Title

♡ ♡ ♡  Der gestrige Tag war etwas Besonderes für uns. Unser Blog feierte einerseits seinen 2. Geburtstag (unglaublich, oder...), andererseits wurde Deutschland zum vierten Mal Fussball-Weltmeister. Ich kann euch sagen, wir hätten uns gar kein besseres Geburtstagsgeschenk vorstellen können.  ♡ ♡ ♡

Hiermit möchten wir gleich dem DFB-Team zu dem Titel gratulieren. Wir sind stolz auf euch Jungs!  :)

♡ ♡ ♡  Yesterday was a very special day to us. On the one hand our blog turned 2 years old (unbelievable, isn't it...), on the other hand Germany won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Honestly guys, I can only say, we couldn't have got a better birthday present.  ♡ ♡ ♡

We share the happiness of the DFB-Team and send our heartfelt congratulations to them on winning their fourth title. We are very proud of you, boys!  :)
