ENGLISH

I know we say it every year, but time really flies and it's hard to believe that I started writing this blog exactly 8 years ago on this day. A lot has happened since then, but I still enjoy the process and I still enjoy writing my blog - even if my working life sometimes doesn't allow me to spend that much time on it.
To celebrate these 8 years, I've put together 8 of my favourite blog posts here, which somehow are closest to my heart.
I thank you for your continued support. I appreciate each of your comments, and your kind messages mean a lot to me.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and read my blog!  :)

DEUTSCH

I celebrated my blog-anniversary last year with a special post that has a message that is still important to me. You can simply download your own checklist and start your challenge right away. Have fun, be happy, spread kindness.  :)

Because I have received so much positive feedback on it, and it is nice to know that my writing could inspire others as well.  :)

This blog post with the recipe always reminds me of the time when we celebrated Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day, with my sister a few years ago.  :)

This article is also special for me, because it is about the first fashion event I have ever attended. We had a great time there.  :)

5. The Look of the Week with LeAnn Rimes Cibrian.
Because she thanked me on Twitter for being chosen as the Look of the Week.  :)

I am still in love with the small galaxy printed rug and also with the projection lamp, which is so dreamlike.  :)

It would not have been easy for me to choose a single DIY project, hence this article, which summarises 6 of my favourites.  :)

And last but not least an award, which is of course an honour, and besides that, it was very nice to get to know my Readers a bit better through the comments.  :)

I hope you enjoyed this nostalgic article and that we can celebrate together again next year. I wish you a wonderful week.  :)

Lots of love,
E

Dresses for everyone

"Happiness is not size specific."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Sometimes we tend to think that it is so much easier for others to buy clothes. If you wear smaller sizes, you always find clothes that are bigger. However, if you have a larger size, you always tend to find smaller ones. And for both "extremities" there are shops where neither of them can find something suitable. But people of average body type and size sometimes also claim that it is the most difficult for them to buy clothes, and it is so much easier when you are either smaller or a bit bigger.

Which of these statements are true, we will never know. We only have one perspective and we always assume things that we shouldn't. We really could be the ones, but there is a high probability that it is not us who have it easiest or most difficult.

Let us try to help each other a little. Please share in the comments if you know online shops where both the extra small and the larger sizes are available, and if they are true to size.

The pictures below are from Lover-Beauty, an online shop based in China. Like many other shops they of course want to make a name for themselves outside the country as well and therefore offer international delivery. However, there is currently no free shipping, and the price depends on the weight and size of the package and the country it is shipped to.
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

They have an oversize clothing section on their website where you can also find sexy plus size dresses that are available up to size 6XL. As with many other shops I also would like to see here more clothes on oversize models in such a section, but the selection is already good.

Have you ever shopped in this store before? If so, please let us know your experience below.
To find more cheap plus size clothing and other clothes, just visit their website.

Lots of love,

A brief history about jumpsuits

✯ Hello Shiny Stars! ✯

"Each day is a page in your fashion story."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Did you know that jumpsuits have been worn for almost 100 years now? It's unbelievable, isn't it?
But do you know exactly what they are and how they came into the fashion world

Well, a jumpsuit is a narrowly cut, one-piece garment that covers the arms and legs. Its origins can be found in sports and work clothing in 1919, since it first began as functional outfit for skydivers
Then, in the 1930s, fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli created the first highly fashionable jumpsuit, which can be considered as the prototype for the jumpsuits we know today.
The garment made its first appearance in Vogue in September 1964, and the 1970s were the golden age of these clothes. There were styles for both the day and the evening, and almost every designer had created their own version of this garment. Celebrities like Cher or Abba adopted the jumpsuit in their style, but Elvis Presley also began wearing it. It was thus present in both female and male fashion.

The jumpsuit is uncomplicated, you can easily pimp it up or make it sporty, which is why it can be worn for almost any occasion. Combined with high heels or with sneakers, the result is two different outfits. Some wide cuts also have an illusionary effect. They make it possible to wear trousers while providing the illusion of a dress

There is nothing easier than simply putting on a jumpsuit and not having to worry about which pieces fit together. From office wear through evening outfits to sporty looks, everything is possible with it.
The only difficulty you are likely to encounter while wearing it is that you will have to take it off completely in order to be able to use the bathroom

With short legs it is called a romper suit, also known as a playsuit, which resembles a jumpsuit, but is a combination of shorts and shirt that originates from children's leisure wear.

The pieces on the pictures are from Femme Luxe Finery, the Manchaster-based e-tailer that I wrote about in my post here: Cosy yet elegant loungewear outfits
If you also like these outfits, take a look at both their jumpsuit collection as well as their playsuit collection. But you can also refine your search for specific colours and for example check only the black jumpsuit collection

The black jumpsuit has mesh details and shoulder pads to create a nice, elegant outfit, and the black playsuit has an open back with tie string and ruffled sleeves.
They are each available in UK sizes 6 to 12, and those shown in the second and third pictures are the smallest. Besides black, they can also be ordered in white.

Do you own a playsuit or a jumpsuit? If so, for what occasion do you like to wear them?
As always, please feel free to leave a comment below. :)

Lots of love,
E
