This was the very first time that I didn’t publish a blog post (only a tweet) to celebrate the next big milestone in my blog’s life. That’s because my days have been busy for some time and I need to admit that I almost forgot about the day when P&P stlye turned 5 years old.

During this time many things have changed. At the beginning (or rather during the first 2 years) I was writing only for myself, I had some free time and I probably wanted to try out something new, I don’t really remember how it all began. Then later it became more a „part-time job” beside my full-time job. But there are jobs where you can combine more and there are the ones which make it quite difficult to juggle working with blogging like my current job does. I rarely find the time and motivation that I would like to, but hopefully it will change with my next job.

Thanks a lot for all your support and sticking with me even if I couldn’t post as many times as I wished for.

Furthermore, I am really pleased that on the week of my blog-anniversary I could manage to reach 2500 Twitter folllowers. That’s pretty amazing. Thank you for it.

It might happen to you too, that your thoughts were revolving around just one single thing. A problem, that probably wouldn’t be a problem, if you could change your attitude about it. But changing an attitude is hard. Even if it would open new doors and help you to a solution, you just feel stuck, there is no way out.

In moments like this, there are sometimes the little things that can help. A sentence in an advertisement or a magazine, a phrase from a movie, a thought from a lyrics or a quote posted on the Internet. Even things that were always there, you just didn’t pay attention to them before.

I believe that quotes really have a good influence on us. They can cheer us up, they can help us to see our problem from a different angle, or they just give us the feeling, that we are not alone in the situation. Writing it down, somebody else felt the same way, and it is a well-known quote, so there are probably even more people who can relate to it.

Sometimes this alone can help, other times you need a new way to look at your situation, an „advice”, a confirmation that you are able to do it, and you really can do it. And this is exactly what quotes do. They help us to understand, to find solutions, to learn.
