As today, 10 April is Siblings' Day, I would like to dedicate this post to all the siblings out there.

According to various studies, family structures in Europe have changed significantly over the last fifty years. Based on data from Eurostat, in 2020, 47.5% of all households with children in the European Union had one child and 52.5% had at least two children (39.9% had two and 12.6% had three or more).

I consider myself lucky to be among the 52.5%, because the sibling relationship is not only something very special, but usually also the longest relationship most people will have in their lifetime.

Therefore, a big shout-out goes out to my sister today. (I hope she's reading this.) With adulthood, there's not as much time for programmes together as there used be, but I cherish every opportunity we get to spend together. I miss our trips together, and hope that we will soon find the opportunity to do something together again.

So there is no excuse to call your siblings today, and if you can, plan something together.
