"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet." (Bob Marley)

Some people are literally feeling the rain and other
changes
in weather elements. If for example the temperature, the air pressure or the
humidity changes, a weather-sensitive person
reacts with varying intensity to
these changes. It means the weather can affect a person’s well-being. A few of
the
symptoms are the lack of concentration, tiredness, sleep disorders, dizziness,
headache and migraine. They
vary from person to person, one only feels tired,
the other needs to take medicine to get through the day. It is said that the intensity
of these symptoms increases with age or lower level of fitness. And at the same
time,
critics say that wheather sensitivity does not exist at all and the
affected people just want to blame something else for their unhealthy
lifestyle.
But why do some people respond to weather and others don’t?
Somebody once told me, that sensitive people should feel lucky because it means
that they are still connected with the nature. And it’s true, we are all a part
of it.
Many animals can sense changes in weather in advance too.
There are many articles that say, they response not only to weather changes but
also to natural disasters like earthquakes.
Elephants for example can sense rain up to miles away. But
if you are paying attention in your own garden or in the park, you will notice that
bees are nowhere before rains which means that they probably feel it. If you
are looking at the sky, take a moment and watch the birds. I learned it as a
child that if they are flying low in the sky, it will probably rain.
The question stays. What can you do about weather
sensitivity? Some suggest to drink a lot of water, others say to spend more
time outdoors in all kinds of weather or they recommend to take hot and cold
showers but different oils like lavender might help too.
Are you feeling the changes in
the weather too? What do you do to lower the symptoms? Do you have a „secret”
that helps? I’m looking forward to your comments. Have a lovely day. :)
Lots of love,
E
