I’ve tried some microwave mug cake recipes before, but I never was satisfied with the result, and I always stopped for months with experimenting. But today, I gave it another chance. First I microwaved my cake for 2 minutes, but it was too dry for me. Then I decided to make another one, and that time I put it in the microwave for just 1,5 minutes, which gave me a texture, I really liked. A little spongey, but hard enough, delicious and my favourite so far.

Chocolate-cinnamon cake in a mug

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon fine oat flakes (if you don’t have any, then use flour)
- 3 tablespoon sugar powder (or granulated sugar)
- some cinnamon (after your fancy)
- some baking soda or baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoon liquid (water, milk, juice, anything you like – I added 2 tablespoon rice milk and 1 tablespoon orange juice)
- some chocolate chips (optional)

Method:
- Take a mug, which is microwave safe and put all the dry ingredients in it.
- Whisk them together with a spoon or fork.
- Add all the wet ingredients into the mug, and mix them up nicely.
- Add some chocolate chips to it.
- Place the mug in the microwave and let it „bake” for 1,5 minutes. (I microwaved mine on medium high, but please note, that all microwaves are different, so you might need to microwave yours for 2 minutes.)
- Let it sit for a minute, then remove it carefully.

Serve your cake with sugar powder, ice cream or whatever you fancy.

This cake is a perfect sweet relief and a lovely last minute idea for Valentine’s Day.  ;)
