A bunch of DIY-ideas

✯ Hello Shiny Stars! ✯

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

"In crafting there are no mistakes just unique creations."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

I didn't post anything DIY lately however it doesn't mean that I wasn't creative, I just didn't get the time to create a post about these.
Anyway, I don't want you to be left without any creativ idea so I collected some of my favourite DIY-projects for you. All these were posted in the last few years so to read the original post just click on the title. If you can't understand something and you feel you are stucked, feel free to comment below, write me an email or contact me on Twitter with your question.

1. P&P style made... a Johnny Depp inspired bracelet - A beautiful and simple beaded bracelet to give a little arm candy to your wrist. It looks nice and as you can see it, this bracelet is not just for girls.  ;)

2. P&P style made... a Safety Pin Bracelet - I don't think that Johnny Depp has worn a bracelet like this but it's still great. To make your own you only need a little piece of chain and a safety pin.

3. P&P style made... a Cut Out Tank Top - If you have an old T-shirt that you are not wearing anymore, this is the perfect way to give it a whole new life. You don't need to sew so it is super easy to make and you will have an amazing top which is perfect for summer.

4. P&P style made... a Hair Clip - You can add something unique to your ponytail this summer with this handmade hair clip that you can decorate after your fancy.

5. P&P style made... a Pompon - Pompons not only look great but also are on trend these days. They add a little extra to every outfit. You can decorate everything with them: your clothes, bags or even your room.

6. P&P style made... an Iphone case - An adorable case from felt, designed by my sister.  :)

I hope you've found something that you like and you will have fun by creating and wearing it.

Have a lovely weekend.  :)

 Lots of love,

Fluffy Pancakes

✯ Hello Shiny Stars! ✯

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

"I love you almost as much as I love pancakes."

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

A few days ago we celebrated Shrove Tuesday which is known as Pancake Day in some countries. It has been celebrated by Britons for centuries and its exact date changes every year because it is 47 days before Easter Sunday.

There are two sort of pancakes. They can be thin and light or round and fluffy. (In many other languages we have two different words for them.)

Today I would like to share my recipe of a fluffy pancake with you which I made on Pancake Day but they are perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day too.

The ingredients are on the picture below but I will write them here too:

- 2 eggs
- 300 millilitres milk
- 25 grams melted butter
- 15 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon white sugar

Method:
- Whisk together the milk and egg then the melted butter.
- Add all the other ingredients into the bowl and mix them up. I made it by hand but you can use a blender too.
- Heat a non-stick pan on a medium heat and spoon some batter into the pan.
- When the upper side of the pancake starts blistering, it is time to fry the second side.
- Continue frying until both sides are golden.

Serve with maple syrup

Enjoy yourself!  :)

Check out this DIY-project for Valentine's Day. To find the original post just click on the picture.

P&P style made... an Origami Easter Bunny

Hello shiny stars!

Tomorrow is already Easter Sunday, but if you are like me, you know what it means to leave everything until the last minute.
Well, if by chance you are not ready for Easter yet, I have something for you.

In this post I will show you a super easy Origami Easter Bunny. It is so simple to fold, that you can make it with kids as well. You can use the bunny for table decor, garland, post card, and so on.
You only need a square piece of paper to begin the fun.  :)

You can see on the picture how to fold it, but if you need some help, don’t hesitate and leave me a comment with your question.

Make your own bunny and as always, I would love to see your work, just send me your photo at pandpmode@gmail.com.  :)

Have a wonderful weekend and happy Easter!  :)

Lots of love,

P&P style made... a Johnny Depp inspired bracelet

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

It has been a while since my last DIY-post although I had some projects during the last months too.
Today I will share a bracelet with you - that I made in the summer, but somehow always forgot to post it.

I saw a photo of Johnny Depp and I became aware of his bracelet. It was a beaded one so I thougt, I will make it myself, which I did and I still love it.

All you need is beads and a rubber band.
I used simple beads and star beads but the "original" had some skull beads as well.
There are lot of colors, lot of variations so you can make many different bracelets with this simple method. Just let your imagination run wild.  :)

Make your own bracelet and as always, I would love to see your work, so send me your photo at pandpmode@gmail.com.  :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lots of love,
E

P&P style made... a Head Chain

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

The famous Coachella has started with Weekend One yesterday and we are already excited to see all the beautiful festival outfits.  :)
Until then here is our post from last year if you are interested: Our Favorite Looks At Coachella 2013

And now, we would love to share our latest DIY-project with you: a head chain.
You can use different chains, we had these two just lying around.
First, fit the chain around your head and secure it in the back.
Connect it with a safety pin or use a jump ring (in this case you will need flat nosed pliers also).
At least decorate it with a rhinestone, charm or button.  :)

Make your own Head Chain and as always, we would love to see your work, so send us your photo.  :)

P&P style made... a Valentine's Day Card

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
This time we made a very simple pinhole card. The pattern is created by poking holes into the paper.
You can make this card for each instance, so feel free to customize it any way you want.

There are only two steps to make it:
1. Make a sketch on the paper.
2. Use a pin to outline the form.

If you want, you can make the next step also:
3. Embroider the form.

Have you ever made a pinhole card for someone?

P&P style made... a Magazine Star Ornament

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯
We hope everyone, who is reading this, had a beautiful holiday season.  :)

A few days ago we made a star ornament, which is our next DIY-project shared with you.
You need for this a piece of paper, we used one from an old magazine.

Follow the steps on the picture to get the little trapezes. You need 8-12 pieces of them to make a full star. It depends on you, how many trapezes you want to use.
You can put the pieces together by placing the two corners of each trapeze into the next trapeze's top "pockets" (see picture).

You can hang up the stars everywhere and not only in time of Christmas. We think, by using different colours, they are a good decoration for every season.  :)

P&P style made... a Flat Washer Necklace

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

It's been a while since our last DIY-post, so it's time to be creative again. :)
We show you a super easy statement necklace idea. It is really inexpensive, we used for example simple metal washers that we found in the garage, but you can buy them at your local hardware store, of course.

To make this necklace you'll need:
- washers (any size you want)
- nail polish (optional)
- jump rings
- flat nosed pliers
- a chain.

How to make it:
1. Lay a bunch of washers out on the table and play with different designs.
2. Paint each metal washer with nail polish and let them dry.
3. Lay the washers out on the table in the design that you want, and jump ring each one together. Use flat nosed pliers to attach the rings together.
4. Put a jump ring on the chain and connect it to the washers.
5. Wear your new necklace.  :)

Make your own Flat Washer Necklace and as always, we would love to see your work, so send us your photo.  :)

✯ Hallo shiny stars! ✯

- Unterlegscheiben (in jeder beliebigen Grösse)
- Nagellack (optional)
- Binderinge
- Flachzange
- Kette.

Anleitung:

P&P style made... a Pompon Crown

✯ Hello shiny stars! ✯

It's already autumn and we are ready for nice boots, lovely jumpers, hot chocolate, and coziness.

This summer flower crowns were very popular, but now we show you a new version of them. The colorful leaves inspired us to make an autumn crown.
To make it, you need only a hairband, and some pompons. (You don't know, how to make pompons? Find it simple here.)

Make your own Pompon Crown and as always, we would love to see your work, so send us your photo.  :)

It's summer and August is really hot here (40℃; 104℉), therefore it is the perfect time to wear our hair in ponytail.

In this post we show you, how to make a girly hair clip.
We made it with a piece of lace, but you can use what you prefer. To color with felt tip pen looks good also.  ;)

Have fun!  :-)

✯ Hallo shiny stars! ✯

Habt Spass!  :-)

P&P style made... a Plastic Bottle Bangle

We show you here a perfect way to make your own bangle.
We made it from a plastic bottle, so it's good for the environment, too.
It's very simple.

2. Cut out a ring from it.
3. Wrap it with a piece of textile (as on the picture), or you can also use other materials, for example ribbon.

Hallo zusammen!

1.  Suche dir eine Plastikflasche aus. (In Deutschland natürlich pfandfreie.)
2.  Schneide einen Ring aus der Flashe aus.
4. Geniesse deinen neuen Schmuck.  :)

P&P style made... some Bracelets with Letter Beads

Alphabet-fun!

We made lately some bracelets with letter beads.
They are super easy to make and look really fabulous.
You can make them with ribbon, chain and  of course you can use other materials at will.
By ribbon make simply a knot to fix the finished bracelet on your wrist and by chain use a safety pin as we here: http://p-and-p-style.blogspot.com/2013/06/p-style-made-safety-pin-bracelet.html

---

ABC-Spass!

P&P style made... a Safety Pin Bracelet

Hi all!

It's been awhile since our last DIY therefore it's time to create something new.

Well, I found a little chain in my "it'll be good for something"-box.
It was too short for a bracelet, but with a safety pin it's absolute perfect.

Here's the tutorial for the bracelet that you can easily make with stuff lying around your home.

Hallo an euch alle!

P&P style made... an Iphone case

The owl is a special bird, which is an emblem for both Good and Evil.
But to us at P&P style owls are definitive a symbol of wisdom.

Hereby, this animal was suitable for a very good inspiration for an Iphone case.

What do you think about it?

---

Was denkt ihr darüber?
